$1,000,000 could have spent much more wisely, judging by financial reports from THQ, EA, Capcom, et al.

The Nintendo WiiDS or the Nintendo DS XXL.

I wonder if there'll be demo stations, the game plus the Circle Pad Pro is too risky a financial outlay for me.

The demo was OK. I was surprised by how great it all looked, but yet again, the control scheme was a turn off to me. I don't think I've ever liked the way a Resident Evil game controls and doubt they'll ever have alternative options to accommodate me.

I know the visuals are scaled up on my computer screen compared to what I'll see on 3DS, but this looks garish and awful.

This is true. I wonder if it's to make up for Apple taking their 30% slice.

It's $12... so $2 more. :)

I'm totally with you on physical controls, but the 3DS doesn't even have a Soulcalibur game... and if it did, it would be $40!

That's how I did it - I think most of the DLC packs cost me under $2 a pop.

I bought the Steam version super cheap, and got most of the DLC when it was on sale. I preferred 3 to NV because of the level unlocking and the fact you could continue what you were doing after the main quest ended with the DLC.

I always play on the easiest setting. My gaming time is limited, so I want to experience as much of the story as possible.

Definitely similar influences. I owned Scary Girl toys as far back as 2005, so if there is any direct influence, I don't know which direction it went.

I still think Wind Waker had the best art direction of the series so far. When everyone was whining about it and demanding the realistic Spaceworld look, I was feasting on all the neat touches. The GameCube hardware was able to do more justice to that style than a realistic look. I want more like that.

No matter how much of a colossal twat this guy is, threatening his family? Really?

I'm not necessarily saying make for mobile, I'm saying: Stop dissing mobile gaming and saying it's all glorified Newgrounds-esque free Flash shit.

The cocky smack talk from EA Re: Battlefield 3 and Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is why I didn't buy Battlefield 3. Generally that sort of shit starts to cover up for a bad game.

That's a fair point. Traditional franchises? Not so much (although every major Nintendo franchise exploited the new control schemes at least in part).

I didn't say they lacked buttons, but the entire selling point of the Wii was its motion controls. It certainly didn't compete in any other capacity. Nintendo thought motion controls were important enough that the 3DS has an accelerometer and gyroscope. Many of Nintendo's own titles on the DS favoured the touchscreen

The same can be said of most of Nintendo's Touch Generations line-up. At least iOS/Android developers don't have the gall to charge more than a few dollars for their games.
