You're about right. It feels like Infinity Blade slowed down a little, and requiring less precision (you can tap anywhere to dodge, and this game's take on parrying is just a swipe down anywhere on screen).

NetherRealm also made Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe, so it's not all roses. ;)

In my opinion, the only "off year" the Mario Kart franchise has had was Mario Kart: Super Circuit for Game Boy Advance in 2001. I have loved every other game in the franchise for different reasons, regardless of my feelings about the host platforms.

I own an Xbox 360, I do not own a PS3. I preferred the neon signs in the latter - the way the light bled looked more realistic. A lot of things looked darker, though. There really isn't much in it, not enough to make you choose one version over another.
