I predict Huey Lewis & The News and Whitney Houston are going to spike in popularity. [en.wikipedia.org]

What has two thumbs and a whopping great e-penis, and is also switching to Sprint? I have no idea, but e-penis aside, we could be twins.

Siri, find something to fill the gaping void in my soul.

Only people who actually have the iPhone 4 and thus talk from experience rather than being a rabid Fandroid don't read it that way.

Huh huh, harden.

I thought it was an Unreal Engine game at first.

Reticule? What am I smoking, I meant plain old aiming control.

I just downloaded this and played it for a little while on my phone. I am a huge fan of the fire button being an aiming reticule, I found aiming and shooting a little cumbersome on other titles like N.O.V.A. but this works well.

My mum keeps asking when they'll announce the iPad 3 because she hopes it will have a higher resolution display. Before she got her iPad 1, she was a slave to my dad's computers, and he was a fascist.

I'm sorry, but yes. Before a new version of iOS or Android launches, it is usually in the hands of developers and Apple in particular prompts developers to make use of the new features and have apps ready for launch. Matt highlighted one of the bigger examples: background audio.

Facebook, reverse chronological is and will always be better than any algorithm your developers can come up with. It also has a much, much lower processing overhead.

Programming languages evolve over time. As, too, has Facebook's use of those languages. The infrastructure of the site is way more complicated now than it was in the first year of its life.

I use Facebook to find my friends on various music services already, and I share some of what I listen to on Facebook already. This doesn't seem to be anything new, just a new, cohesive branding for it.

You can get rid of it yourself. Hover over the top right corner of a post and you will see a tiny X icon. Click on that, you can then choose to hide all posts by that Page/person/app.

Everyone is framing this as a war, in which there is only one winner. Google and Apple are both succeeding at what they wanted to do.

Connect your system to the eShop at least once before all this happens, then download the 10 free NES and 10 free Game Boy Advance games. If you don't love at least four of them, you shouldn't be buying Nintendo systems in the first place. :)

The UK price increase was due to VAT increases and fluctuating currency strengths, but you're right, still an odd move when you're making a profit on each system (which they were, right?).

If you have an iPhone or one of the handful of Android phones for which it is available, you're better off watching Netflix that way. The user interface to find movies is a lot better, as is video quality.

It might provide a reason to buy one if they do more than just the out of the box stuff.

Because I am SMRT, I installed on my iPad, not my iPhone. I wonder if this fixes the most noticable issue: HTML5 video playback in Safari was borked to hell, and Safari itself crashed extensively.
