I remember when Direct2Drive kicked up a fuss over Steam being required for Modern Warfare 2.

I have this issue with FedEx, not UPS. UPS are generally pretty decent.

@roninpenguin: Accidents can happen with anything and everything, this is entirely true. Heck, even water - a substance vital to life - is dangerous. One would hope parents would exercise appropriate caution, so I am not excusing the stupidity of these people.

All of the arguments from pro-gun types center around criminals carrying guns. Their tiny brains cannot fathom that accidents like this, often more heartbreaking, happen all the time.

What's with islands? Get more land!

@Avinant: I get that, but there have been examples of Microsoft stumping up large wedges of cash so it could be a USP for the 360 version.

Timed or fully exclusive?

I'm really not a fan of the Sonic controls. I've played many a game with an on-screen D-pad, and this one just seems a little too precise.

@JakeMG: Waxing Pedantic: I wonder if it's like Clear's iOS-only iSpot device and accompanying $25/month unlimited Wimax plan.

I can't wait for the 360 to get a boost, too. Seriously my most used feature on the system this year.

@Ian Logsdon: Personally, I cannot wait for Mac SE X Cougar.

I'm more annoyed at the frequency of updates. Between my Mac, home PC, work PC and iPhone, it seems I am updating some piece of software, browser plug-in or operating system almost constantly.

@D.LYTE: What are you doing right now? I'm eating Cheez-Its and reading your post.

@Michael Laverty: Your point about the app store, while utterly valid, applies even more to the wild west of desktop Windows software. There's also the malware lottery you play with lesser-known applications.

@ernie.: Except Firewire is just a brand name for a standard that other manufacturers utilise. Sony call it i.Link. Others give it its technical name, IEEE 1394.

@NicolasCage: Given that estimates peg the sales of both titles over 4m each, I don't think that's a downgrade. You're right, though, Unreal is what made their name.

@jackcrack7: I didn't, doh. I'm telling you, kids, don't give up caffeine.

c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\ - there is a file in there called hosts (no extension). Open that in Notepad and check for any references to google.com. Delete those lines and save.

Oh the fun that awaits me when I get home.

@Dreamwriter: I believe 4.2 is the merging of the forks, future updates should be universal. That's how it sounded.
