Meh. I watched and loved the Chappelle show when I was in college. It was smart and forward, especially for that time. But I watched the first netflix special, and maybe it’s me, but it was such a drop in comedy. 

Are you sure your watched the right show? He starts off about the LGBT community, makes a joke about child sexual assault, something about jews, a couple jokes about being black, then right back to LGBT jokes and ending with "I had a trans friend".

Never double-down on a joke. When someone calls you out on a joke, and you double-down on it rather than let it go, it means its not a joke, it’s your opinion.

Yeah no. I watched it, at least 75% of it was jokes about the LGBT community.
