"When Stanford and Virginia Tech met in the 2010 Orange Bowl, that contest featured the highest combined football graduation rates in BCS annals. So far as I am aware, only TMQ highlighted this." Jesus, Gregggggg....it took me literally 10 seconds to prove that you were neither the only one nor the first to highlight

Seriously, I love the super-haughtiness of that sentence...while claiming he's the only person to highlight the issue, he simultaneously admits that a) he has not externally verified his own haughty claim and/or b) his own awareness (or lack there of) is sufficient verification for any such haughty claim.

I'll agree that the gift card line could have been more tactiful (she made it sound like the poor folks option)...but I'm guessing what she was probably trying to politely say was "If you're going to give me a gift card, don't give me a useless Blockbuster gift card."

I love that Yahoo! is so terrible that it has absolutely nothing valuable to offer as compensation..."Uhh...here's the password to the email account you haven't checked in years...and uhh, some scouting reports! We're sooo sorry!"

Use the word "fuckwit" unnecessarily...CHECK

Yeah, but you don't know her family situation. I know someone with 9 siblings and tons of uncles and aunts...and it's pretty much protocol to send around massive wish lists. Otherwise, you start sounding tool-ish and giving one or two present ideas to each person.

Plus, she's likely in college...so, her parents or family are likely even less up-to-date on her tastes and gift preferences than when she was younger.

Yeah, I don't get this either. She's 21 (likely still in college), and the list is very reasonable. When saw there was "Big Ticket Item" list, I expected iPads, new TVs, new car, etc., but I wouldn't even classify most of the items on her list as "Big Ticket". Plus, I admire her willingness to find lower priced

At least we can all agree that Season 3 of the OC isn't worth owning.

Hesistant +1...good funny, but it felt a little forced.

I just liked the pretty colors and boobs...that novelty wore off once I discovered drugs and broadband internet.

Agreed. If you're going to tell me you voted or post of a self-photo of your "I Voted" sticker, the least you can either do is show some boob in your self-pic...or make a funny joke along with your "Voted...please do your civic duty" comment. Otherwise, DONNNN'T CAAARRRRRE!

That's what I see happening, too...NE becoming some sort of Euro-Zone thing that eventually topples the whole new world economy in 20 years because everyone felt the need to include NJ (aka Greece) and loan them money...just because they didn't want things to be "awkward".

Yeah, I meant more that most states have sufficient generation resources and T&D infrastructure to have their own grid. Obviously, you'd have to re-jigger some things...but it's not like all the power plants are in Nebraska...while all the power users are in NYC or something. But, I do agree that California would be

Funny...they're filming most of the second Hunger Games movie in Georgia....

Although, fun fact: GA has no natural lakes...only man-made lakes that are primarily dependent on rivers that cross multiple states. So, if TN or SC decided to be dicks and block our rivers, we could be boned. Otherwise, our ocean/ports access, mountains, fertile land, and urban/rural mix give us a punchers chance

I would think the top states would pretty much be the same as the states that control the whole conference realignment thing in CFB. Texas obviously would be the big dog, along with Florida and California and MAYBE Ohio or Virginia. All the rest would think they're valuable just like they do in CFB (OK, AL, MI,

As do most other states.

Agreed...can't wait for AZ to turn blue in 4 more years. It'll be so sweet! But...no, seriously, Republicans keep pushing your xenophobic/racist anti-immigration platform...it's totally working!!

Your comment just caused my nipplecane to be upgraded to a Category 4.
