I’ve ditched oil and moved on to bacon grease. After baking a package of the stuff, I was left with a lot of run off, so I decided to filter the bacon bits out of it and save the rendered fat into a mason jar. I use it for cooking, and seasoning pans, now. 

What, out of the normal seasonal illness precautions, should a person that is at risk for more serious effects of this illness take? Everything I’ve seen to date is near mirror to best practices for XYZ season. 

I find the “THIS IS THE NEW BLACK PLAGUE” people to be much more annoying, and incredibly unhelpful.
