I knew someone whose dog went on the wrong plane with Alaska Airlines (dog went to airport X, owner went to airport Y, the correct destination). Apparently NOT needless to say - they were very well compensated. Alaska definitely strives to make stuff right when shit hits the fan.

IF you have an excessive amount of spare time, cast iron can be resold for a reasonable amount IF you take the time to take all the rust spots, etc. off (Lifehacker has done a few articles on this). If they look like they are in good condition, sure $20-$30/piece. I’m not an expert though, so YMMV.
