@spydr101: If you put on the 'official' OTA update (Even if you downloaded it from droid-forums like everyone else) then you won't get wi-fi hotspot, Verizon / Motorola decided that the Droid couldn't handle it, so killed the feature.

@FartyMcPooPants: Thanks everyone for the replies, that was my main worry, I didn't want to break my phone in some other way, and have rooting the phone thrown back at me as the reason voiding the warranty.
