did you ever get a dog? Also I imagine this picture.

Thank you for your nice comment, but I was 13, and I was a dick back then, so I have no problem with people calling my 13 year old self a dick. I am not a dick any more, or at least that's what I have been told.

Yeah, I probably deserved to be sent off into the unknown for that, and nope never did get a dog, so no more tortoise and no dog, it was a lose-lose situation.

Ahh, that is a happy story. I have no pets right now, but me and the lady I live in sin with have talked about getting some my kind of pet maybe a cat, as we live in an apartment building. No tortoise though, as from some of the comments, there may be time travelers that would prevent me from doing so.

Nah I am decent well rounded human being now, I WAS a crappy little shitberg of a kid back then, but I have grown out of that, mostly I think. I have had many happy little pets that have lived happy little lives in the confines of their domestic prisons.

Wow, really it jumped or was it like my "ran away" scenario?

I was checking on their IMDB site and noticed that they have produced a Netflix series called Hemlock Grove http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2309295/?ref_=tt_ov_inf, I don't think it has aired yet, but looks interesting. I wonder if they are going the internet distribution method for Barbarella also.

I was a bit of a ADD type kid, basically the attention span of a squirrel, and I said, I brought it out for some fresh air, and I got distracted, and it just disappeared. I think my mom half-believed me, as I said my great Get-A-Dog plan of "losing" the tortoise and gaining a pooch, really didn't pan out, so it pretty

See totally proves my point, I am sure he/she (I was never quite sure about that) went on to do great things, like TMNT. I would have just kept him/her in a box with some lettuce for the rest of their lives.

Ok for my defense, for those who have owned fish, and accidently kill them by not feeding them, isn't this better? It is kind of like Born Free, but a reptile version, plus this was Florida, and there are lots of good things for them to eat there in the wild.

Will this be broadcast T.V. i.e. NBC, CBS, Fox? or will it be HBO, FX, or or even USA network etc. that would make a huge difference.

That's ok, but what would you like to see as the new Star Wars movies?

That's pretty much when I stopped reading the books.

Yeah, I know I was a shithead as a kid. I never did get a dog, my mom liked cats.

That is the nice thing about Star Trek, they have already set up alt-universes/timelines etc. in cannon, it is a bit tougher in Star Wars since there is no precedent for it.

Hmm I wonder if that small tortoise, I had as kid, and then lost* in my backyard in 1983 is still alive?

Ha ha, How many times has Lou Diamond Philips played the "local sheriff"? They also could film it/set it, in Forks, WA to get that Twilight tie-in.

That was odd. WTF Luuke????

So doing the Children of the Force stories you think? Han and Leia's kids.

Yeah I know, it will probably involve a young Leia, Luke, and Han, their separate stories, and interwoven with Darth Vader hunting the last of the Jedi's. I guess that wouldn't be too bad, Leia's early involvement with the Rebels, Han's early career as an Imperial Officer, (and meeting/freeing Chewbacca) Luke's story
