I am holding out hope that Lisa Murkowski will pull a Jim Jeffords (look him up) and leave the GOP by declaring herself Independent, then caucus with the Dems. Don’t forget, the GOP did zilch for her - she got re-elected last time as a write in because the GOP primaried her from the right!

This ad is in no way suggesting the umbrella of masculinity is a problem. It is focusing on something that falls underneath that umbrella that’s called toxic masculinity. Toxic masculinity is the strain of masculinity that tells boys that they can never show emotion, that the only thing they’re allowed to feel is

I can’t tell if you’re trolling or not but a razor ad featuring drag queens / LGBTQ folks would be phenomenal.

Ya, gotta do something to strike the emotional chords in people to get them to shell out $24 bucks for a pack of 50cent each blades.

I’VE BEEN DOING MY BEST TO RAISE 2 BOYS TO BE HONORABLE, DECENT &, RESPECTFUL MEN HOW DARE THIS HATEFUL AD SUGGEST THAT WE SHOULD RAISE BOYS TO BE HONORABLE DECENT &, RESPECTFUL!

“There is nothing wrong with femininity or masculinity. We are inviting men to discuss how societal roles place undue pressures on them.”

What world do you live in where the issues you raised are not influenced by society’s expectation of femininity and beauty. There is nothing wrong with femininity or masculinity. We are inviting men to discuss how societal roles place undue pressures on them. But you will rather bury your heads in the sand.

I see what you’re saying, but I think that one of the benefits of “identity politics” is that you’re instilled with a sense that it’s your responsibility to your community to empower those beneath you and around you as well (ex. A$AP Mob). It’s the only way historically that minority groups have been able to survive

at this point Americans have a hard time telling the difference because he’d probably be considered a centrist in the US at this point.

I haven’t seen the ad, but if Piers Morgan hates it, it’s probably great.

are they actually watching the ad? it is so harmless. Its ‘don’t be an asshole’ stretched out for a minute and 30 seconds.

With a side of SELF DEFENSE?

I don’t know if Gillette razors cut into hair better than other razors, but nothing cuts into a person better than the truth.

What’s next, Turtle Wax telling me to treat others like I’d like to be treated...with a nice thin coat of wax?

Why are you people always singling out men?

Ah I remember that one. Do you think after they uploaded all their vitriol they turned to their racist cronies and said Hey! I stood my ground today. i don’t want biracial kids thinking they can eat the same bland, pee-smelling cereal my white kids eat. And then Steve King clapped him on the back and said You Tell

It just resonates

The Gillette ad and the APA tried to put men’s wellbeing at the forefront of our national conversation. But a lot of men would rather keep their tendency to homicidality, suicidality, sexual abuse than lose any of their power.

The ad is fine. I find it generally annoying when a product/company capitalizes on social movements, but this is fine.

Other ideas I can get behind:
- An ad featuring drag queens
- An ad featuring trans men/women and genderqueer folks: “The best anyone can get”

The patriarchy elevates women who will uphold its structure.. But if mediocre, amoral men sail through into positions of power with much fanfare, not sure why the standard should be different for women. Women should be allowed the leeway to be bad elected officials. We need to understand that if the standard is equal
