What's the problem? This is just about the minimum distance I need from my 50 inch plasma so I can't see the pixels anymore.
@The Sentient Meat: Bull. Controllers are ridiculously difficult to use for people unacquainted with them. If you grew up with the 2 button one d-pad NES and then worked your way up, then yes, I can see how you might have the illusion that our modern day hand-sized airplane cockpits are no burden to memorize, but give…
@dowingba: Fail
@Krakenstein: Sometimes it seems like my place is bigger on the outside...
I just moved to a large living room. I hope this doesn't hurt sales too much, but then, who am I kidding?
@Alternate: Erm, even "multiplayer" is free for Minecraft classic. Minecraft classic, however, is the long outdated version that misses pretty much all the features of the real survival game. You know, like monsters, crafting, mining, smelting, cooking, farming, day/night cycles, and so on. As in, everything that…
@Alternate: The single player is not free. Don't make this poor person think Minecraft Classic has anything to do with the awesomeness of real Minecraft, please.
@Corgyll: This. The sequel was a lot better, though. I suggest you look for it.
@B-Money: WHAT? Seriously? Others can have it too so now you feel victimized? How is that screwing over anyone? They're delivering more, not less. I hate that stupid fucking attitude some people have about console exclusives so goddamn much!
@HaveBlogWillTravel: It's neither, just a statement. To grok means "to drink", and if you're interested in some fun new age hippy romp, I suggest you read Heinlein's "Stranger in a Strange Land" :)
@DrakeDatsun: They are talking about... erm... "certain" individuals...
I bet there won't be any flash support for the online browser for about one year after launch until the firmware is broken. Then, one month later, they will suddenly introduce that feature with the new firmware.
@koreshonfire: @koreshonfire: I disagree with pretty much all of that because the Kinect is not out yet? Your argument is all made up of pure conjecture, yet you have the gall to assume that all real gamers, whoever the hell that is supposed to be, would agree with you. You, sir, have the rhetoric down, but it's…
@kratos_hates_everyone: Planescape Torment with kitties.
@Jezuz: My guess is that most handhelds don't do this because it'd turn out awkward. I mean, Nintendo and Sony can't be that stupid, they just can't. There must be an obvious reason that made the prototypes with two sticks impossible to play. Maybe it'd move the device too much and would make the screen too shaky, I…
@HaveBlogWillTravel: I'm proud to say that I only had to read this twice to grok it.
@tomsamson: Such is the nature of early hype. Let's be happy that it isn't as bad as Spore, at least.
Basically they're saying that instead of having the actual price be 1000$ on ebay for this thing a day after launch, they'd rather the people with pockets big enough to afford that would give them the money instead of resellers, in the form of games and accessories and such.
@dhimango: That's what I mean, actually. I wrote out the full sentence anyway because I personally disagree with the message as well.
