I agree with this, but with the giant caveat that *as far as we know* the knowledge stayed in a pretty tight circle at PSU. As someone who was raised in the Archdiocese of Boston, these scandals have a tendency to run deeper than anyone will admit.

Worcester is right up there for worst cities in New England.

Plenty of bad free throw shooters aren’t making top dollar.

I truly despise Barstool Sports and Portnoy, but it’s hard to disagree that Deadspin and the rest of the community lost its fastball, lost its way, and lost the pulse that it had on readers’ emotions.

BBC Radio 5 gets my vote. Smashing.

Rosie O’Donnell as Melania. Book it.

Johnson was never on the same level as TO. He talked enough shit that people compared them, but he was a cheaper imitation.

Which doesn’t make what he did impossibly shitty, irresponsible, and gratuitous. He constantly tweets “sourced tell me” or “sources confirm.” This is way past the reasonable equivalent of tweeting a screengrab of his text messages informing him on routine NFL business.

There’s a guy on the wall who looks confused and ducks out of the way. If he wasn’t caught off guard and if he had time to prepare for the run up, he probably blocks it or deflects it high.

The USMNT would be wise to take this as an example.

I think what matters is that US viewership probably correlates pretty closely with international viewership more broadly. Ligue 1 is indisputably the fourth or fifth best league in Europe, and he’s leaving number one or two (depending how you slice it). Viewership and international fan volume roughly follows that

Luis Suarez-level compulsion.

McCollum’s Twitter game: constantly high.

Torts is a dick. Bowman’s in the HHOF.

I have no dog in this fight, but it’s Stevie Y and it’s not close. He won the Stanley Cup without any cartilage in his left knee. That’s all-time, all-sports hero stuff right there.

You’re right about all of these. But what gets tricky is blending the club’s changing sponsors with its static color scheme. Yokohama is a disastrous partner with Chelsea from an aesthetic standpoint. Many alternate kits basically exist to try and blend the sponsors more seamlessly with at least one kit.

Are we sure the Gronk Spike is good?

He not only engages intelligent questions, he holds a lecture on tactical football history where he cites role players from 25 years ago by name like they had lunch on Tuesday.

I’ve watched this defense closely all year long. It’s supposed to be the apex of years and years of draft picks being invested on the defensive side of the ball (as well as the offensive line). And after 17 games my opinion is: they’re fine, I guess. They’ve looked good against bad teams, and ok against decent squads.

So they might be asked to forfeit a second round pick instead of the fifth they already owe? That’s the equivalent of taking away basically one third round draft pick (i.e. the difference in value between a fifth and a late second round pick).
