If it were, it would be Buffalo (it wasn’t Buffalo) or Toronto at 4. Which means they took a 9 spot hit to get him out of the division. Makes no sense.

And they just took a guy at 15 who scouts had going in the third or fourth rounds. Nothing makes sense any more.

Pasty pseudo-hipsters, kid developing daddy issues, and a guy with a bucket hat. Knicks Fan should now qualify as a specific category of BDSM.

Bettman doesn’t believe the loser point is a problem. He’s pretty clear at the end of each year what he wants to see changed and what he thinks the fans want. At the end of this past season, he said something to the effect that the fans appreciate tight playoff races - even though they’re completely contrived and just

“Well, time WAS a flat circle.”

Watch John Oliver’s take on this. He points out that not only is it designed to not be removed, but it would require a 2/3 majority in the legislature to favor removing it.

Every league makes shit up as they go. Leagues that don’t make shit up to keep punishments on the level make horrible decisions. While the punishment probably could/should be more severe, this still falls short of most people’s idea of abusing an official.

Jonathan Papelbon used to have this weapon in his arsenal, too. It was amazing to watch: the catcher used to half-crouch, the hitters knew it was coming and there was still nothing they could do.

Los Angeles Cliparts.

His is red herring. Yours is ad-hoc.

You’re totally missing my point. By focusing the investigation on other people if he does step down now, they are, by practice if not definition, not pursuing corruption charges if the head of the ring voluntarily steps down. Whether it’s setting a precedent or not, it’s the same outcome.

No that’s exactly what I mean. Unless there's another way to interpret this.

“What touched her? Knee?!?!” - Hao

HNIC’s montages are a league apart from the rest. Just awesome.

It presupposes that in five years of investigations plus half career in the work of a journalist, the DOJ doesn’t already have enough to burn the place down. And right now, there’s no sign of that.

“By offering his resignation early, he at least had the chance that the DOJ would ignore his involvement in place of active FIFA members.”

So your take is that the DOJ was going to ignore shit that they knew was illegal because he stepped down, but they wouldn't let him off for said illegal shit because he offers to step down.

More likely: he’ll use his resignation as a bargaining chip when the walls begin to close in on him.

“Game 5’s.”

These things you want to quantify are often not public record. Just because someone is wealthy doesn’t necessarily mean they retain expensive attorneys all the time. You’re being obtuse.
