God, the epilogue is beautifully hilarious in retrospect.

That's exactly right. I don't know the numbers but I expect that the MLS figures are rising significantly as the game grows in popularity beyond hotbeds like Seattle, Portland, and LA. There's also very likely a demographics difference, with MLS marketing to 18-34 year old males and the WNBA probably skewing to less

Not sure about Southwest, but I've watched Patrick's show a dozen or so times on JetBlue. Something about the format just works really well with a ~2 hour flight.

I really like it. He's an underrated interviewer: his questions are very insightful and he actually listens to the answers instead of hearing and reacting.

The term is overused, but Rob Gronkowski is a national treasure.

Anyone else surprised he kept his shirt on?

No one asked you. Brady led his team to two more Super Bowls than Montana, led his team to the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history, set a truckload of Super Bowl records (career and single game), and he was a circus catch away from having five rings. The debate is closed.

It's so cool that we get to see Seahawks fans experience their first ever gut-punch moment.

It's risky as hell. You're lining up your hips with the other guy's and if he slips left or right you've completely sold out on the hit. Further, you're really turning the other guy's acceleration against him, so if he isn't going fast enough then he'll just bounce off.

Do you live in New Jersey? Because I heard a similar story from a town in Jersey.

It's not a certain goal at all. 9/10 times, the puck is going in the upper left corner for a right shot or the upper right corner for a left shot. Goalies can and do easily adjust to stop these shots when they matter.

I'd go with closer to 50% of top HS hockey programs, but yeah. It's a new thing - wood sticks didn't allow for it to be as easy as it is with composites - but it's becoming a lot more common especially here in the US. Give a high school kid a 70 flex stick and watch the magic.

He's headed to Shattuck-St. Mary's next year. There's a good chance his next step is the NHL.

I've heard it called Lacrosse-style, the Mike Legg, or the Michigan but some people have different standards. For me, it's lacrosse style and a Mike Legg or Michigan is one that happens behind the net and goes over the goalie's shoulder.

That's the easy part. I think it was Kane who did it last night from the red line - it was like he was flipping a light switch.

Now playing

It's a cool shot, but the headline is sensationalist. Plenty of NHL guys chose not to do this same thing last night because it's been done so many times. Case in point, this kid was 9 years old:

Can the NFL just go ahead and ban Ron Borges already?

That might be the most Hawaii story ever.

What we now absolutely know is that the referees either OK'ed deflated balls or they failed to notice that just about every ball the team used was deflated. That's an awful lot of ball handling to not say something.
