He was a dual citizen, so technically it was invented by an American citizen in America. If he invented it in Toronto, it might be different.
It was invented in Massachusetts. Naismith was born in Canada but spent his whole adult life and career in the US.
So that's where slopestyle came from.
On an individual level, the best golfers are mostly American. And yet, the US is 2-6 in Ryder Cups since 1995.
My fellow Americans, are we the best at any sport we didn't invent? I'm having a hard time coming up with one. Some versions of skiing maybe?
Deadspin's implication that Florio is wrong seems to hinge on the infallibility of Ian Rapoport (he's wrong - quite a bit, actually) and the integrity of an NFL executive (...). An amusing exchange, but that doesn't mean it's accurate.
And you can FEEL it working. You can instantly feel the pull on your hips get loose and your back start to take back a better form.
"This time he says he unwittingly took a banned substance in a nutritional supplement."

If you answered anything but Teemu Selanne, you can go straight to hell.
Like his decision or not, at least Michael Sam had the balls to put all of himself out there for the public to judge. The same can't be said for the jagoffs who immediately sniped him under the sweet cover of anonymity.
I normally like him, but shame on Steve Levy for not jumping all over Herm for this. There were a number of chances for him to interject or press further but he sat on his hands and let the train wreck continue.
You can fly for like $150 if you're lucky AND it would get you there faster. Even Acela is like 3 hours and at least $500 cheaper. It would also be cheaper by car service!
