That might be the best candidate for a 24 month lease ever

Looks to be working as designed.
Like most of it’s owners, it has a hard time getting it up. No performance shaming!

GR86 is the only correct answer here. The car is brilliant in every way.

Electric car with 4 independent electric motors on 4 corners. No portals or axles were harmed during this demonstration as they weren’t present.

$10-15k over the next year or two and this is an absolutely beautiful E23. Rust is the only real question here so if it passes the rust check, NP all day

Ha, I guess you’re not wrong.

None. We no longer have to choose between turbo and RPM in performance cars so not having a turbo is simply not having in town torque at small displacement.

And gained a whole bunch of usable torque that makes daily driving it a breeze.

I’m on my second one and none of that has been true. We had a 2008 until our son was born. Then we went GTI. Now that we moved out of NYC and have extra space, I got a 2015 Abarth Cabrio.

What’s wrong with the Abarth?

100% this.

Prius is great but this is reaching. We’ve already established that “fun” is an emotional and rather unquantifiable quality. One that rarely is found in anything with a CVT if the “fun” is sporty driving.

Exacly. I understand that retrofit is more expensive than just sitting on your hands, which seems to be every local governments favorite past time. But if the above ground system has already become problematic, there is no reason not to bury the lines.

It’s actually more cost effective long term. Those studies have been done many times over. They can and are often bundled with water line digs.

Of we could just bury the fucking lines like the rest of the modern world has been doing for about 70 years. Hell, NYC doesn’t have poles outside of old Queens neighborhoods. Everything is underground.

The dead don’t care what we do. They’re dead.

“Fun” is very relative.

Thanks! It’s such a fun car to drive. Yes, every mini van can win a drag race against you but it’s so irrelevant. The noise, the drama...it makes up for any flaws.

I suggested the Abarth with lowering rails or bolt to floor but you’re right. That works basically in anything. Keep the Z3, rails/floor bolt and enjoy.

Abarth + lowering seat rails.
