As someone that’s owned the OG R32 and several GTI’s after, this is a hard no from me. What made GTI’s and R’s so good was how amazing cars they were in addition to their performance. The arguably best daily drivers out there. This is a massive step back and a sharp right in the wrong direction.

BMW E24 is a beautiful car for a non performance project. It’s classic, parts are fairly available, it’s not particularity complicated and it’s a great cruiser.
