Same here. Absolutely decided on the R, was convinced to test a GTI just for fun and ended up buying the GTI. Not that the R isn’t great. It feels more solid. But GTI is much lighter on its feet and the VAQ diff is absolutely magic.

Most people don’t consider the insurance benefits of that safety equipment.
