Not really, at least on the Steam Controller when those launcher windows pop up, it automates the pad to its desktop mode of just acting as a mouse pointer. Then when the game launches, it will read your control profile for the game, and switch to say an xinput scheme.
Nah its fine, most PC players are terrible, but it does limit your picks.

I’m so glad controller support is almost becoming a mandatory thing for PC games. After I connected my PC to the TV I use mouse and keyboard almost only for for competitive shooters. Episode 2 was Fall 2007, so 9 years. I’m still furious about how the series was abandoned after all that promising of NOT making their fans wait this time but after playing The Lab, I finally forgave them.
Yeah, we’d hate for the tech to, like, evolve or improve or anything.
VR is not the way you want to play a 100+ hour game like Fallout. It’s best for play sessions between 1-2 hours. Episodic content is really the way developers need to be going. Tell a big story, but do it in manageable chunks.
