I like the fish-out-of-water Hardy Boys approach though. Like the protagonist doesn’t intend to kill anyone but realizes he’s up against dangerous people. He’s just cocky enough to believe that he can do it all by hacking and non-lethal stealth tactics.

“This is their exit strategy for Saints Row’s ever increasing insanity.... Giving them a new context to be able to tone it down a little.”

Watch Dogz 2: Back in the kennel.

And that doesn’t even take into account the spinoff titles like Altair’s Chronicles, Liberation, Bloodlines, etc. Normally I’d say that it would be bizarre to think that spinoffs would affect the series’ numbering, but if main series entries only sometimes affect the numbering of the games, then why the hell not?

I’m curious how they’re going to handle the city... they made a big deal last time of it being Chicago but aside from a few landmarks, it was basically Chicago as if it were built from a dozen postcards and a 1994 Rand McNally map book.

The older set is far, far worse about this in my opinion. Cue the 60something giving an ‘educational talk’ that centered on how to navigate a down market as a breadwinner with a SAHM/wife. For example, half the room was female (and very likely not supporting a full-time/SAHD).

An annoucement, for an announcement, for a trailer, to a trailer.

Yeah, but the difference is that inFAMOUS was already a solid, well-received game. Watch Dogs? Not so much.

It’s Volition so it will probably be a sandbox game where you can play as specific characters with unique powers. But I still feel compelled to say it.

TO OTHER GAME DEV. STUDIOS:

But that’s the thing; if he hates linearity and largely non-interactive environments, why on earth is reviewing a Naughty Dog game? It’s like having someone who hates FPS review the new Doom or something.

The exploding mummies were nothing on the WHAT THE FUCK scale when compared to “the hands that stole from me”, “the hearts hardened against me” and the third one with the jawbones that I’m too skeeved out to remember what the sign said.

The facial expressions were great! They didn’t have to say anything because you could see it on their face. Like the scene at the table with Drake and Elena. She didn’t say anything, but you can see what she’s thinking and feeling.

I finally got around to actually reading that review just now.

Look at those cheeks! Those chubby little cheeks!

Well he’s not completely wrong. A lot of the detail is useless, if you don’t appreciate it. Guess he doesn’t.

We need an article that focuses on the 3D artists at Naughty Dog.

Who was responsible for the, um, decor in Chapter 19. Because seriously, I am kind of scared of that person’s mind.

Hands down one of the most beautiful games I have ever played. Congrats Naughty Dog, you continue to raise your standards.
