For some reason, I feel like if he wanted to, Christopher Nolan could somehow orchestrate this stunt in a movie.

Car murder you say?

I think last year a lot of the conference wasn’t new: Halo MCC leaked, Forza Horizon 2 was announced and had a month of coverage at IGN beforehand, they showed gameplay of Sunset Overdrive for previews a few months earlier. All the new announcements (Scalebound, Crackdown, Phantom Dust) just had CG trailers. It was a

From the trailer :

Yet they’re porting BO3 to both the 360 and PS3 and the Wii U is superior to both...????

Based on the graphics and animations... I’d say they’re telling the truth.

And coming up to a close second...

You aren't beta testing the game looking for bugs. You are playing it and providing feedback, wha you liked, didn't like. It's like test audiences for movies.

What pissed me off about E3 I think last year (?) was the stupid ass voice over of the so called multiplayer on The Division and the new Rainbow Six game. I hope that kind of stuff isnt going to become a thing.

Serious question: Is there any reason why you can’t just announce the game a couple of months before it comes out instead of putting unrealistic gameplay demos out a year or even two years before they come out? I mean the average person doesn’t even know a game is coming out until the hard marketing blitz that happens

This just furthers my argument of ignoring everything you see at E3 and treat it as more of an ideas workshop. Never expect a game you see at E3 to be what you get when it’s released. While many games come really close, you also get things like Colonial Marines (or to a lesser extent Watch_Dogs) and sometimes E3 demos

One of the big stage demos at Sony’s event last year, for example, was actually a video, a source told me. (I know what the game actually is, but agreed to keep it private, to protect my source’s identity.)

Awesome article Patrick... I know two games that burned me from their E3 presentations were Bioshock Infinite and Watch Dogs. I have never regretted a purchase as badly as I did those two games.

Very good read

I play it at least once a year, usually more, on PS3. I know exactly how it is. It’s only as imprecise as the player is. A skilled player can get a lot out of that game, but there is a learning curve to it.

I don’t think I ever need to elaborate on this one.

“the gameplay completely fell apart after the first level or two” Explain

Assassin’s Creed parkour has nothing on Mirror’s Edge. Hell, no game since has even come close.
