My take away from reading this is to hold off on thinking about HDR until the dust settles and a standard is adopted across the board.

I’m not sure the MASSIVE images of every single token is needed on the article! Other than that...good to know. I really dislike this idea by and large, incremental change is okay but going all the way and replacing all of them with potential rubbish like “hashtag”s and emojis? Eurgh. No. Stop.
Na its a pretty good deal for nostalgia alone. Through VC the games alone retail for triple. Personally Nintendo dropped the ball for me by not having “Hockey” be one of those 30 games.
Look, emulators are amazing. But comparing downloading ROMs (especially the ones of game you don’t even own in some sort of official way) is not the same - on a legal and ethical level - as getting an official product as the NES Mini.
Are there programs of this sort for any other medium of entertainment? Or is it just video games because they’re not taken seriously as a medium?
Except it’s not. The bit entirely hinges on the same “Conan is weird and reacts strongly to things he personally does not get.” bit that he’s been using for 20 fucking years.
Seems like a win-win: big games get free publicity and the Conan team can keep up the farce that beautiful, famous people don’t “get” video games.
