I don’t want to say I didn’t like it; the truth is I wasn’t smart enough to learn it. I loved watching my friends play when I was younger, but I never was able to learn how to order the attacks correctly and equip all the right things. I even bought FF7 back when it came out, read the manual front to back, and still…
Selfishly, that sounds great to me. Just seeing my friends back in the day go through all the menus to plan attacks made me feel like my brain was underdeveloped in comparison.
Crap...I never played Kingdom Hearts either. The most complex RPG elements I’ve experienced are Mass Effect and Dragon Age. People loved Kingdom Hearts though, so I’ll nab the demo on faith.
Is this game approachable for people who have always been intrigued by the FF games but could never learn the traditional battle system? Or is there still more complexity than a Mass Effect fan could handle?
