Wait, what? Mobile gaming still a huge, and very active market.

Free same day delivery thru Postmates was GENIUS. I can now buy used games at a discount w the same effort of a digital purchase, and will have a copy to sell later. Gives me a reason to buy from them.
How has it changed? I have a friend who used to do trade-ins all the time back in the late 90s and early 2000s. It was cool at the time but he regrets dumping all of his GameCube stuff on practically nothing.
This is BS, there is no difference in displaying say a Joker figure or a taxidermied (if that’s a word) fish on your wall, or a model boat, etc. The only difference is at the moment the boomer generation gets to decide what “mature” is, in 25 years (probably less) anime statues and figures will be on display all over…
I’m not sure “nobody wants it”. Didn’t Sony sell 5 million+ PSVR last gen? It’s expensive, and requires additional hardware beyond just the VR. I think that’s much more of a barrier than anything else. But there’s clearly a market for it, hence this article.
This article only skims the surface. I barely understand, but there is a lot more to this then it being a meme stock or Cohen. Go on Wall Street Bets and read through all the due diligence (and do your own).
Focusing on 4K is a colossal waste. Focus on framerates, more complex simulations, higher player counts, ANYTHING but fucking 4K. Breath of the Wild looks just fine on my 4K set thanks to decent upscaling, and I would be perfectly contented if the next Switch remained a 1080p system.
It’s an attempt at a step forward (or rather revealing something implemented for a while) but it doesn’t change the fact it’s still a set dressing for a fictional project that will give money to someone in the real world actively pushing to strip transpeople of their civil rights.
I play using DualShock 4 on PC, and I far prefer it to Mouse & Keyboard for this game. As long as you have a keyboard for chat, the control scheme for DS4 is amazingly well implemented. I challenge any MMO to find a better implementation than the Cross Hotbar system FFXIV uses.
“it became clear that I was playing lazy port of a game that was originally designed to be played with a mouse and keyboard setup”
FFXIV is very much DPS focused, even with the healers.
Coming from WoW to FFXIV was like eating McDonald’s your whole life and then having someone make you a homecooked meal. I’m not saying Blizz doesn’t care about their game, but you can feel the love and passion that Yoshi-P and Co. put into making FFXIV great. It really is their baby.
I mean, plenty of RPGs have rather arbitrary crafting systems with messy values.
And due to the added effort in adding this mode Cyberpunk is delayed until January 3, 2021.
That’s what it sounds like to me, to. Or “So long-a Bowser!”
Reason number 256034 I won’t be buying an Xbox:
I had no idea that this wasn’t a first party title. I know MS and Nintendo have a good relationship so it was released on the Switch, but I never imagined that it would come to the PS4.
Great, now I’ll have to wait a few years for the redesigned version that isn’t meant to be “striking” or whatever they’re calling this design.
Wouldn’t say that was rotten luck. It was hugely successful, and I enjoyed it a hell of a lot more than Breath of the Wild.
