First time in I guess “operational” use. The missile is still highly suspect. The Indians absolutely detest it. Say what you will about export vs indigenous variants but even the Russians were very obviously shying away from it.

If they were to collapse again, they should break the country up. Doesn’t matter whether it was the monarchy, the Soviets, or the current crop, all the Russians have proved for centuries is that they are incapable of effectively governing the whole country.
Unless they’ve been seriously improved (which was on the table) without anybody noticing (not likely), the R-77 or “AMRAAMski” is vastly inferior to more recent AIM-120 variants.
You’re an utter dunce. Keep swilling that Kremlin Koolaid comrade. Lol.
I used to send joe’s out with a plastic shopping bag to collect exhaust samples.
It’s old news. The Aviationist did a story on it well over a year ago.
I’ll say it yet again for you:
You’re an utter fool. The draft was used in both World Wars. It was also used during the Civil War. You think because someone in your family wore the uniform and that you’re of age to adhere to the selective service that you’re some kind of authority? Nothing you’re saying is sailing over anyone’s head. What you’re…
Quit taking shit out of context while simultaneously putting words into people’s mouths. You didn’t “criticize” air power (like I could give two fuck-different job, culture, and branch stud). You criticized the mission by alluding to the fact that the Serbs pulled off some wondrous strategic feint to their benefit.…
I’m asking you because you’re the only person claiming one can join/enlist as a WO. Nothing you’ve linked validates that. I don’t think you understand the differences between what you’re saying and what you’re linking as a source.
You really are a fucking idiot...
How about infantry? It was my first deployment as a cherry private. All i heard about what this vicious civil-war and ethnic cleansing. I get there and these supposedly badass soldiers that talked all this shit about going head to head with the US wouldn’t even make eye contact with an 18 year old private. Get fucked…
Im familiar with what is necessary to drop a packet. Time in rank, time in service, etc. Waviers, yada yada.
“And really, this whole idea makes aircraft carriers almost obsolete.”
I take issue with Tyler from time-to-time but still respect and appreciate what he does. Biddle is just a fucking joke. He needs to just stop. Astounding how many of Gawker’s ‘journalists’ aren’t qualified to write a school paper.
How does that work? They must still have a fallback MOS? It seems as though they’re now allowing a guy to attend a WOCS following basic/AIT/OSUT? Haha if they allow them to quickly become WOs upon enlistment it kinda defeats the purpose of having WOs in the first place! Weird. I’m only familiar with the aviation…
Absolutely. It was a massive undertaking. I’ve got a book kicking around somewhere that is specifically about Operation Fortitude. It’s about 500 pages I think haha.
I don’t need to watch Fox News. My first deployment ever was to the Balkans. I’m well aware of what happened. Coalition air power struck when and where they chose. You keep ringing that F-117 bell as if it’s something to be proud of. We’re all well aware of what happened there. I suggest YOU watch some more TV if you…
What didn’t work? That ghost army kept Wehrmacht and SS Divisions pinned down for DAYS after the Normandy landings. Hitler refused to allow units be detached for Normandy because he still believed the main blow was going to fall at Calais. In their wildest dreams, SHAEF didn’t think the ruse would be that effective.
True. They sure kept coalition airpower from curb stomping them for days and days.
