Yeah I should have elaborated. That’s small for Soviet bloc ships. Their 533mm fish are smaller than Western 53cm fish and much smaller than the 63cm that many of those ships have. I can’t look right now but I think the fearsome Japanese “Long Lance” torpedoe was also far bigger than 53cm.

Were they? When?

Ya think? Attacking shipping in that region would be pretty dumb, because there’s a good chance it belongs to Japan, the US, or China.

I don’t think they’re THAT dumb. It would be pretty impossible to prove. When the Kursk went down, the first torpedo exploding was recorded on seismic recording equipment (whatever it’s called?) in a dozen countries. When the secondaries went off every ship with a sonar heard it and knew exactly what happened.

Yeah, that was my thought process in saying they’re a threat to surface ships. I didn’t mean they were a threat to any warship built post-1960 :)

Lie about what? You’re the ingrate that took a popular phrase, from a very popular military movie, and connected it to....France? Fuck off dipshit. Your armchair general bullshit is irrelevant and moronic. Wear the uniform for 5 minutes, then come back and tell me what soldiers need and how you’re the only one

Yeah I’m equally skeptical about the SOF forces. I’m sure they are hard as nails, no doubt, but the biggest strengths of units like that is operating outside the box and thinking on their feet. Kinda hard when you’re an automaton!

It was a faulty weld, allowing that propellant to mix with something (maybe 02? h20? I dont remember) and one cooked off in the tube. A few minutes later another six cooked off.

French? Who said anything about the French? Everything you say is painfully stupid. Just stop while you’re behind.

You’d be terrified too if your leaders’ most mundane flaw (over eating), spelled starvation for 250 people.

No. Only Yankee-capitalist pig submarines need to come up again. In the glorious DPRK, our Dear Leader told me we can operate underwater indefinitely. I even wrote it down in my notebook right here. See?

I believe this is the photo of ROK forces capturing a grounded N. Korean sub a few years back?

Lighten up Francis.

All the way.

Yes it does. Every pair of additional eyeballs helps.

Moving over “rough terrain quickly” is relative. Anything that get’s you to an objective faster than walking is quick.

They would really only use for the things the Humvee is being used for. All the other running around the military does is supported by a fleet of various trucks and vans. Ever see a picture of one of the big LSA bases in Iraq, or one of the purgatory bases in Kuwait? There are 10 Montero’s and Armada’s for every

Yeah, and everytime those technicals ran into the US military they were slaughtered like sheep. I watched crazy Fedayeen loyalists charge M1 and M2 formations in technicals all the way into Baghdad. You’re better off being a dismount than rolling around a combat zone in something like that. They were literally piled

They still do use stuff like the Blazer. Everytime we went TDY to some school or another we’d take a couple of GM vans or GM Suburbans. While stateside, we very rarely took a Humvee off post. There were also some heavily modified GM C5500 (and whatever the Ford equivalent is) that we’d use for certain things.

Well done!
