Glad we’ve got a follow-up, because I missed the first discussion, and I have some thoughts on this :P

I’m in two minds on this. On the one hand, the hardcore fans tend to be pretty obnoxious about their headcanon and could do with being taken down another peg. On the other, it would almost certainly be terrible, and as a rule I don’t root for games to be bad.

100% endorse. Remedy doesn’t feel like they should exist, and the fact that they do and keep getting to make weirder and braver stuff makes me endlessly happy.

Hey dummy, you realize this was done internally at Bungie with no involvement from Sony

I legit can’t understand how to came to this conclusion.

Um...no? Not at all? Whatever gave you that idea?

I like the concept of it and I know they had to monetize it somehow but it’s all coming together weird. I downloaded it last night anyway just to see what the app was like.

TBH this seems at least like a cool idea if done right/well. Sounds like neither one is happening but

Konami has lost the juice, they aren’t good at doing things anymore.

Even after moving away from actively developing their own games, they are still unable to manage the brands they own without disappointing everyone.

Hmmm that suite was in Miles Morales and acted exactly the same way. It is not new to Spider-Man 2.

It was even advertised on the official Playstation channel:

If you youngins ever wanted to ever experience what it was like to play some shitty-ass N64 games, here you go.

Oh, but we will continue on this way.

Ahem: “Is it car-related? Not at all. It is, however, plane-related, or at the very least plane-adjacent, and we write about plane stuff all the time. So why should this be any different?”

I will defend the left turn arrow. No it’s not warranted at every single intersection, but it is really necessary in certain spots where you would probably need to sit through 4 or 5 light cycles before you could even hope to get a gap.

I only made it three regions into Valhalla and, while I don’t begrudge the fact Ubisoft made this wide world that some of its players could explore, I really wished it had offered a straightforward route through the story content and major landmarks.

Such a non-story. Square Enix just confirmed that a character’s name is pronounced exactly how everyone has been pronouncing it from day 1.

part of it is ROI. Capcom or EA would have to put out a massive volume of smaller indy games to make up for the lack of AAA. And with AAA if you hit, you make a killing, that happens on indy, but there are so many more that are wonderful games...and just dont hit big at all. At the scale of the remaining big

My middle school friends and I spent more than a couple of nights calling up the local dj to play Wipeout on the radio.

I will not sit idly by while you besmirtch The Fatboys

This is gonna be disastrous for the entire games industry. There is no way one of the biggest companies buying out another of the biggest companies will be a net positive, it’s going to quickly turn anti-competitive and anti-consumer. But because Microsoft knows exactly what to say and what small concessions to make,
