Always thought this was a missed opportunity with the franchises. Blume and Abstergo working together and running ctos? Assassins and deadsec fighting them together? Come onnnnn ubi. In AC4 there was even a point where Blume emailed abstergo about using ctos as security software.

it is pretty funny to be honest. I think if they had never started with the modern day story line and just focused on the assassin’s and templars throughout history it would have been fine. But introducing all that meta story, then just...stopping it and leaving so many things open seems to have caused the divide. If…

Right that’s my hang up as well. There is so much there and so many cool modern day characters that are just.....there....doing nothing. It seems like all the Modern day stuff now is happening outside of the games which is a damn shame.
