For me it only seems to effect heavy ammo to. I lose one shot per death. It is a good incentive to stay alive if that's how it's intended, but it's also mildly annoying

I managed to get it upgraded to Eidolon, so far it's kinda the same. really bad stability, fast fire rate. Not sure I like those types of autos. ( I miss my shadow price) There is a stability upgrade on eidolon, but I can't part with the hand cannon I'm using right now to keep leveling it.

Those are totally worth it. Uncharted 3 had a pretty good one if you liked multiplayer and character customization.

DLC I've bought a fair amount of. Season passes etc. The only two mobile games I've bought IAPs for were Deep Loot ( Cause I wanted to support the devs) and Jet pack joyride. In both cases it was the currency doubler.
