Oculus is helping pay for the development of the title.

Wow. I don’t actually agree with this. This is Valve, not wanting to take responsibility for the content you can download from their platform.

This is just another example of Valve punting away all responsibility.

This is a good policy. I wish more content platforms, be they social or otherwise, would take this approach. I find the hands off approach to be less sticky morally than the alternative. Good on Steam.

“There will be people throughout the Steam community who hate your games, and hope you fail to find an audience, and there will be people here at Valve who feel exactly the same way. However, offending someone shouldn’t take away your game’s voice. We believe you should be able to express yourself like everyone else,

This is the correct strategy. Facebook and Twitter are both tying themselves in knots trying to police content, and they’re still failing and receiving criticism. A strong filtering system lets customers avoid toxic games while shielding Valve from charges of censorship and bias.

This describes me pretty accurately. I got into PC gaming (and even PCs, I was a Mac user) in late 2015 and now I have become like every PC gamer enthusiast before me, trying to convince others to give it a shot. I was playing FPS games at 30 FPS with a right analog stick for 15 years just fine, and now I’m like

All of this. I like all of these!

I’m not sure if it’s how you worded it or how I’m understanding it, when you say “Digital downloads are around 4-5 times the file size of the disc installation”. Games install completely and they play off of the HDD, so Physical and Digital are identical install sizes. So you’re not saving any disc space by buying

One of the problems is that GameStop is so dependent on the extra money that used games, warranties, Power Up Rewards, etc brings them is that they actively purged their ranks of the ‘Good’ retail employees who knew their stuff, knew the games and had the same type of excitement and joy over them that gamers tend to,

I just hope it’s actually impactful. It feels like their quality has sort of dived a bit with Fallout 4. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t leave the same impression as 3 or New Vegas did.

But you have ES6! It’s now an MMO that you only pay for once. Then pay for expansions every few months.

Yes. Definitely.

I suspect this is the new Vegas of fallout 4 and not 5. And you’ll get elder scrolls next year

The relationship between PUBG Corp. and Epic in terms of PUBG Corp.’s development was a lot more complicated than Epic would like to admit.

Bluehole’s real problem with Epic is that they are paying Epic massive amounts of money to use the Unreal engine but getting zero customer support for it anymore. Plus, they think Epic “stole” code from them. Stole in the sense that Epic, as a customer service entity, helped develop PUBG systems and then slapped them

I would be pleased if she would just say “I’m just here to dismantle the nation’s public education the same way I poured enough money into Michigan to destroy their public school system. All kids should be educated by religious schools, and by that I mean conservative Protestant schools, and not Catholic or Gawd

I can’t watch the vid...she is so stunningly vapid and ill-prepared AND most importantly ill-equipped to do the job; it just makes me numb...I’ve gone from anger to laughter (in a “laugh to stop from crying” way) to numb listening to these fools. This administration gives me sensory overload.
