It’s not like your stats reset in the original game when you had to changes disks though...

Honestly they only had to do some stat conversions (like either raise level cap or 40=25 and 50=30, e.g.; maybe your maxed Fire Materia now is just below level 2 with its AP; redo weapon levels and refund points, or just add to them, etc.) No file to import? Default starting party ready to go.

It’s not like the math

Especially since materia is such a core aspect of the plot. It’s canon that the party had been acquiring and using this stuff, yet at the start of Rebirth they might only have a couple pieces between the lot of them? There are literally characters in Midgar who sell you equipment and materia. Were those just

This is definitely an odd choice especially from a story perspective. if you are playing the games as a trilogy you are basically going to see your characters go from over-powered death machines to struggling to fight a moogle...twice. That’s just weird.

I have no problem with people liking the game despite its issues. But that’s a mature stance to take: liking something while understanding the circumstances surrounding it is kind of trash. Unfortunately this is the internet, so it has to be that “actually Cyberpunk was always masterpiece, and actually CDPR were all

It really can’t be emphasized enough how god-awful this game’s writing is (says the guy who’s up to 25 hours in and will probably put in far more than that.) It’s particularly frustrating because occasionally you’ve got a side mission where they give Keanu, say, faux Chandler to bust your chops with, or the text

They shipped a product they KNEW didn’t work. They purposely prevented reviewers from seeing X1/ps4 footage despite those being the consoles it was announced for. They also said the last gen versions ran ‘surprisingly well’.

This isn’t releasing a game in a new genre and botching launch like a looter shooter. They knew

Also played Cyberpunk from day 1 on PC but never bit into the hype, and I still don’t think it’s a great game. But I enjoyed it for what it was at heart, and that’s a very competent, albeit buggy, AAA action-RPG. It has a mediocre story, with really good acting, awful pacing, interesting characters and very fun

It’s nice to know that a corporation can lie to consumers for years, abuse their employees, allow bigotry to run unchecked, make attacking other companies into their advertising strategy, promise entire game modes that will instead be carved out and sold separately, release a knowingly broken product a good 2 years

Yeah I really, really, really don’t care for the narrative that somehow Cyberpunk was somehow always been this perfect gem and just didn’t deserve any of the hate and…

Running well on PC for some users and bombing on consoles does not mean the game was running well or optimized correctly.

Nah, I tried to run it on PC with specs that well exceeded the recommended and it ran like complete garbage.

They didn’t program properly for PC, so it was a crapshoot if it would actually work for you or not.

Seen some pretty bad takes on both sides of this thing.

It’s a solid 6/10 game even after patches, updates, etc. I played and beat it to completion and the one thing that irked me is there was a long list of things you can tell were either in the game or going to be there at some point, but it’s not. Whether it was an idea, quest, mechanic, etc. there was a lot missing

The city is very dense and layered, which made it a cool envrionment to traverse. I just hated how next to none of the shops, buildings, and vendors were open or interactable.

One false narrative—that Cyberpunk 2077 was a boring, busted piece of shit at launch

it’s a well-constructed rpg with gorgeous art and a living city.

They’ve literally done next to nothing. They fixed a few bugs, which created more bugs, which they eventually fixed. Before, during and after though? Abject silence.

I never had severe bugs like many have (play on PC), game was stable and problem free for most part.. my issue with the game is the gameplay itself is.. mediocre. Good story, good characters, but gameplay feels vastly inferior to Deus Ex Human Revolution or Mankind Divided, which did a vastly better job at making you

HAS the game improved drastically, or is this just review inflating? Is this the CDPR fanboys reasserting their dominance after months of being shouted down after they tried to insist “the game was flawless at launch, it’s only a vocal minority that tried to play the game on a system it was never designed to be played
