I’m a former TV producer and I’ve done four shows for Bravo and just so you know the process, the production company puts the show together and then it goes through anywhere between 3 and 10 rounds of notes with the network. They had multiple opportunities to see those lines and say “they’re too mean, take them out”…

Friend, this one hit me hard. His books and shows are some of the reasons I grew to try to expand my skills in the kitchen, to try new foods and new things, to really get the travel bug under my skin. He exposed millions and millions of people to new foods, new cultures, new places and to me...really hammered home…

I had to stifle a scream this morning, so as not to wake my child, otherwise I would have likely keened loudly. It was so hard to get going this morning, being greeted to this awful news.
