Yeah the alpha is a reduced price version of the full game when it is released.

I'm probably the same. Also with a game you can get a bug that is so bad it is unplayable, which quite rightly leaves a sour taste in your mouth. With a Film this only happens if there is some sort of serious error with your bluray/player/tv and that isn't something that is likely to effect several 100 thousand…
I think games have a different set of standards than TV shows or Films do.
So basically you buy the game at a reduced price before it has gone gold, or you don't and wait for the bugs to be fixed?
It is playable and there are things to do, there are also quite a few bugs so it really depends on whether you are the sort of person that can play a game with potentially gamebreaking bugs or not.
I take it you didn't use DayZCommander before? Anyway yeah it is just download DayZ in Steam and you are good to go.
Arma 3 is built on the same engine as Arma 2, hence why they have carried over all the peformance issues from 2.
Yeah it's a bit of a double standard really if anyone is taking offence, especially as they are clearly trying to take the piss.
It is meant to take place during a nuclear winter. The mods that give you real time weather effects are doing it wrong.
I like you.
That's what you get when you compare a Fallout game made by a studio comprising some of the original Fallout team as opposed to one that doesn't.
yeah good job I pointed out about a week ago that it is nothing to do with realism....
It has value but as with all these shows unless it is something that obviously will appeal to a broad audience has no definable value until it is backed up with sales.
You are lucky then. Personally the only issue I have is where it randomly won't let me join servers and the hit reg.
I agree with 1 and 2. I thought Blood Dragon was worse than the base game so I quickly stopped playing it. I haven't played the other 2 so can't vouch for them.
The combat was by fare the weakest part of Bioshock Infinite so it is bizarre to have it get a best shooter award.
Seems strange they would pull the game if they stood to make money off ongoing sales, but like I said i'm just speculating.
As much as I like Steam, this is a valid point.
My first thought is being spiteful but I don't know the full story.
