Yeah, that’s not cool.

I characterized that person as a person who goes to restaurants, based on him writing about going to them.

I’ve never been rude to a customer. I’ve had some wonderful customers, but there’s nothing stopping rude customer’s from being rude, except sometimes their embarrassed wife. I’m quite certain some customers scream at servers as a form of therapy. The food and the service in their case is secondary to the main reason

Nope, worked in same restaurant for over 20 years. We tend to judge OUR books by the way they come into the restaurant over and over again and act dismissively and rudely to our staff. You get a reputation. Example: “Please, I took The Chicken Lady last time. It’s your turn!”

Sorry, m’lady. Or... m’dude?

You dismiss commenters. Sorry, you excuse them. I was making assumptions about how you treat others.

That’s really charming, but the previous poster is not a food service worker making $2.83 an hour, so it’s not as easy to dismiss them as you do all the waitresses who I guarantee groan when you enter their establishment and fight over whose turn it is in the rotation so they don’t have to take you.

Plus, if I was having a conversation at a table, and the server walked up to the table, I would politely pause my conversation and acknowledge the server’s presence. I cringe thinking about the times I was politely standing tableside for 10-15 seconds, which felt like eternity, hoping someone would shut up and notice

I loved the story specifically because it shits all over the lore and does it’s own thing.

James Van Der Beek is a national treasure.

Hank Azaria not invited?

For what it’s worth, I am white, Apu IS racist, The Simpsons blew an opportunity to react in a meaningful way to this controversy, but “off subject” I was just recalling the most funny/offensive thing The Simpsons ever did. I’m an idiot!!!

Woozle wuzzle?

Off subject, Cletus and Brandine named one of their children “Incest.” Am I allowed to still find this funny?

No he didn’t.

Then consider me Miles Davis, I’m sorry

#WORSTWING?

This is confusing.

I’d imagine as a professional actor he shows up to his HBO TV show and just says his lines. We can’t all be Daniel Day-Lewis.

I see, the article does make it sound like his child would have died had it not been for the Affordable Care Act.
