Yeah, I remember that super fist fight as well.

My criticisms of MoS are similar to many superhero films. Just because MOST superhero films go on autopilot fistfight mode for the third act doesn't mean that's a good thing.

This to me is the no-brainier portion.

One last thing... I know they're doing their own take on the story and trying to distance it from the Donner film... but not using the John Williams Superman theme was, is, and always will be a travesty. As far as I'm concerned there is NO EXCUSE for that. The very idea makes me want to pound my head against some

I have no problem with the concept of Clark being an outsider. I think a lot of the movie was well done. I think it was modern and I think Jonathan Kent was portrayed realistically as a father protecting his son and wanting to keep him safe. I think the origin story, though a little drawn out, was interesting and well

Took a survey, huh? Congratulations are in order then. Superman is in the gutter, where 90% of people wanted him to be. I personally hope he finds his way out in the sequel.

I don't feel any great particular need to see Superman get into super brawls, that's all. Superman protects people and saves people. He's a symbol that uplifts people. DC seems pretty uncomfortable with that along with much of what makes their iconic characters so great. Marvel has embraced their arguably second their

I was just joking. But to me there wasn't a single moment of MoS that stood up to the plane rescue/stadium landing of Superman Returns.

Those are really great! Nice to see something so nice.

I don't watch that. But I like Neil Patrick Harris.

Clear/logical statements? Silly me, I thought we were talking about the movie where two guys just freaking super punched each other through buildings for the last half hour because the director thought it would look cool.

David Lynch. Stanley Kubrick. John Carpenter. Spike Jonze. Sam Raimi. Steven Spielberg. Ridley Scott. James Cameron.

I love Joss Whedon. He's one of my personal heroes. But greatest director of all time? NO!!!

I love it too! MoS makes a lot more sense if you make up your own plot/character details and project them onto the film. The filmmakers appreciate it. It made their job far easier.

They could have tried to make anything in it mean anything. I liked Watchmen.

I feel no urge to argue. But, I feel you may be biased... Kal-El.

I have taste, and I love it when people bash MoS, and then its defenders Ben over backwards to explain why He's the Superman without trunks we need, and also the super-hairy mass-murderer we deserve, or whatever.

I do not aim with my hand; he who aims with his hand has forgotten the face of his father. I shoot with my mind.

Everyone thought it was dumb when they heard it. Then they got confused.
