I think Stefan stopped truly respecting Elena's choices somewhere around the time he fell off the wagon for the first time in season 1. And yet, as time went on, he got ever more ostentatious about it to the point where it seemed like caricature.

If you are coming to Deadspin for fair, objective stories, I feel like you must be confused.

That shark-faced guy from that episode TOTALLY creeped me out. He's drawn in one of the Angel: After the Fall comic books and he looks pretty terrifying. That didn't help my nightmares.

We wantsss it, precioussss.

You know, I think the vast majority of cheating is for the purpose of "sticking it to the (wo)man." And what is the point of that if s/he never realizes it? It's to get attention or to be spiteful or any number of other attention-related things. Getting caught is the goal, more or less, though I imagine the less

Totally agree.

I came here hoping to see this and I was not disappointed.

I would also suggest The Vampire Diaries. It is straight serial, no filler episodes, and when you watch it all in one sitting, it is incredibly addictive. When I was marathoning season 2, I watched 6 eps in a row once because it just didn't let up and each ending was a cliffhanger.

Note about Ultraviolet: I like my entertainment grim but the second episode of this miniseries was so gruesome that it put me off and I still haven't gotten around to the third episode. Four years later. It was excellent, but holy cow.

You know why people liked it? He took the standard sci-fi soldier story and made it UF instead. And all these UF people who have only ever read UF (genre people are terribly insular) were like, "OMG, BEHOLD THIS SPARKLING NEW THING!" like they were Man discovering Fire.

I think Changes is the best Dresden book. It's not my favorite, but it's flawless.

What? I couldn't hear you. I had my space ears on, listening toward Alpha Centauri.

That's possibly my favorite piece of erotica ever.

I got this. If no one else did, I got this.

That is an actual thing I've seen on formal gowns and I always thought the same thing.

Greatest use of a stock photo ever.

That's the same thought I had. Scary.
