I think you are secretly me. I had those same thoughts when I saw Lindelof had a writer credit.

Agreed. I think the idea of a crying woman singing something like that as she falls apart is what the movie is selling, and it worked beautifully. I'm sold.
So, I know this episode didn't change television, overall, but it changed my expectations from genre television forever. Oddly enough, it's Swap Meat, S5E12 of Supernatural. Some geeky kid uses witchcraft to swap bodies with Sam so he can be this hot stud.
Dang. It's $14 on the Kindle. I want to read it but... That's two other books, ya know?
Man, Heroes turned SG1 from a series I really loved to a series I also respected. I still tear up just thinking of Daniel Jackson screaming for a medic.
I'm also not sure how 'amusing' and Blade Runner go together. Because, really, not at all.
Yes, it really is that important to a lot of people. Finding out how important it is to you isn't something you want to do AFTER you've committed to someone til death do you part. You may very well not be on the same page as that person and that is an absolutely miserable way to live. And no, you can't figure it…
Man, I had forgotten how much I loved Silver Springs. Thanks for posting that!
That's a really good point. Cultural bias seeps in, as well as lack of research, cursory understanding, or just plain old ignorance.
Feel for me. I'm getting dragged to it this weekend. :`(
I was good with Sunshine all the way up until the last quarter. Then it was just stupid. But! Up until then, I couldn't have cared less whether the science was plausible - frankly, how do I know? Maybe it is, maybe it's not? I'm not going to research every movie I watch to see if it's scientifically accurate. I…
This is why I watch mostly action movies. Hopelessly implausible flicks like the Expendables don't have to have flawless logic. Mind you, I don't want something as painfully stupid as, say, Live Free or Die Hard - a truck crashing into a helicopter? Come now. But, let's say, 30% outside the plausible is good for…
Doh! Spring colds are the worst. I hope you feel better soon.
(Full disclosure: I knew exactly who it was. I was just making the tongue-in-cheek point that I prefer Martin Freeman's Watson and Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock thereby.)
That is a truly epic collection. Do want!
If there's no doppelganger, I'm not interested.
On the other hand... She's either not well or she's so divorced from reality that it amounts to the same thing. It sounds like she's simply not capable of running her life anywhere but into the ground, for whatever reason. That said, that article makes a very good point. If she's legally incompetent, she's not able…
I'm a bit peeved at Britney's handlers for letting her do this show. Whether she's fully recovered or not, she's clearly a bit high strung. Putting her under such scrutiny isn't good for her. People who are still in a conservatorship after totally losing their shit don't need to be put on the spot like that.
