At first I thought I agreed with you and then I realized that I absolutely do not.

Preach on, brother. PREACH ON.

Yes, but that's an empty statement if you don't say why. So, um, why don't you think it was good?

Yes! It was so good when there was no net. I would have loved the show that it could have been. Not that I didn't end up loving it anyway, of course, but it's just... man. Ya know?

Haha, I just made the conversion on TVD a couple weeks ago. I was flipping through channels and caught the last few minutes of a season 2 episode. There was a big discussion where the lead girl and the bad-brother vampire had an argument and then the girl apologized. I was like, "yawn." Then the girl sneaked

Well, Game of Thrones was not a miniseries. It is ongoing. The series also has no ending in sight since GRRM hasn't written it yet. If you mean that its season 1 arc was defined for it, yes, that's true. However, that's the same as any show - you map out where you want to go and then you go there. I'm just saying

I think you nailed it.

I want to add another piece to this list:

Huh, sweet. I actually liked the X-Files one-offs better than the X-Files main story. (I'm weird.)

Now that I'm caught up on The Vampire Diaries, I need to get to watching Fringe. I've got season one just sitting there, neglected.

Make it so!

OH! haha, okay, yes, so the answer was "too much crack." Well then. Thanks!

I... thought Tintin was a dog? Maybe I'm smoking too much crack. Why do I think that?

You have to start from the beginning or you'll be totally lost and never have any idea what's going on. It's totally serial with no filler episodes whatsoever, so there's that. I'd say it gets really good by episode 5. The first two are a little painful to deal with but by episode 3 it's a lot better.

Yep, and that's where I got hung up around episode 2 and turned it off, initially. I went back to it earlier this month and ended up getting hooked when I watched seasons 1 and 2. I feel pretty dumb for not giving it more of a chance early on, but on the other hand, I got to marathon it all which was good due to the

Gah, nightmare fuel.

You are not alone, my friend. Damn.

Ha, I love it!

Hmm, I disagree completely with porpoiseful and am completely, utterly boggled by the statement that it's a cheesy teen drama. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, the high school stuff has fallen by the wayside so much that it's tough to remember that some of them are still kids who are supposed to be

That's one thing I like about TVD: There are no good guys. Caroline randomly compels people all the time when she shouldn't (like that slutty girl). She hasn't really done anything truly egregious but it's a bad habit to get into. She's undeniably a dangerous predator, so while we love her, it probably wouldn't be a
