Not necessarily. My friend and I used to do a lot of couch co-op. We beat all of Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance in one sitting, as well as Army of Two and its sequel, RE5, Resistance 1, and a few other games. All of those are considered AAA titles. To the point though, I do wish there were more, short games out there.

It’s weird to me that the world’s biggest game franchaise can’t (or won’t) hire more people to work on their games. I watched a few minutes on Twitch this morning and the world looks barely passible to me. It is big, but like BotW and many other new age open world games, where are the trees and grasses and creatures?

My first vehicle: Jeep ZJ. Loved it so much that after I totaled it I bought an identical one which was literally the worst vehicle I’ve ever owned. Win some lose some I guess

Maybe it is just a trash game. Pretty sure Penny Arcade riffed on it last week too

Really? It might be my favorite open world game of all time :X

FFT is one of my favorites of all time too. Tactics Ogre is definitely great, and there is a steam game called Fell Seal Arbitors that is pretty good, in the same genre if you want to keep playing SRPGs

I usually sit between kind of like and neutral when it comes to crafting in games. Game like Skyrim, FO4, Horizon make it simple enough that it isn’t a horrendous grind like old school MMOs, but at the same time I don’t love it so much that I would miss it if it was gone. I think older games, like Star Ocean 3 and

Ford Everest...SUV that can tow 7500lbs (as much as my Sierra 1500), gets over 30mpg, and a diesel so it’ll run forever

I almost didn’t read this because I find you insufferable but your second to last paragraph proves you are out of your mind. I can’t believe we lost Heather Alexander and Tim Rogers for writers like you.

I’m not seeing the problem. Medieval fantasy games are always going to be mostly white due to source material, and that’s fine. If it bothers you start up your own game dev and start making games based on African or South American mythologies or time periods. I would actually enjoy playing something like that. But

I own 4 but never played it (bought on sale from PSN). 3 was decent, I liked the crafting but I was young when I played it and got stuck, and it was not the type of rpg you can just grind and get OP so I dropped it 20-30 hours in. According to my friend group 2 is actually the best in the entire series so I’ll

Welcome to the new normal. Almost every movie, tv show, or video game article out of gawker sites for the last several months have just been bitching that this or that isn’t some quintessential gold star version of gay, or queer, or bi, or black enough, or non-white enough, or not enough fat people main characters. No

I’ve been to Disney World a single time, several years ago in my late 20s. It was horrible. The big rides like the Aerosmith thing and the hotel drop thing were hours-long waits, there were a billion people everywhere, it was crazy expensive, and mostly pretty lame. I could have just walked around epcot eating ethnic

Between Americans needing to drive more due to terrible mass transit, and being stupid easy to be allowed to drive, I’m not surprised. The other day I stopped by a gas station to pee and there was an old woman who got out of her car at pump one, and she was so decrepit that I went inside, peed, washed my hand, and

The only game like this I’ve ever played was the Crystal Key and it was way over my head as a middle schooler. I don’t think I got farther than a couple of puzzles.

I thought the Netflix series was a sequel to the books?

Looks decent and has pretty good specs, I really hate how gigantic they made the crew cab though. Getting Ram mega cab vibes in a not good way

I played the original for about 45 minutes before I quit playing due to terrible controls and camera angles. After reading the first four books earlier this year I’ve been wanting to play the trilogy all the way through after I get around to the final book, but man that first game is rough. Maybe I should just wait a

A frustration of Pokémon games since there were Pokémon games, NPC trainers have always kicked off battles just because you wandered too close.”

I think it has always been that way because the only difficult thing in pokemon games is the attrition. Anyone remember trying to get through Rock Tunnel in Gen 1, only to

Tough debate. One of hand there is a slippery slope argument to be had. Most places haven’t had speed limits updated in decades are were set to arbitrary numbers to begin with. For example, Wise, VA has a speed limit of 55mph even though the roads are curvy and people’s driveways are right on that road. Meanwhile,
