The #56 Big Kahuna has more meat than what I’ve gotten at Pat, Genos, or other random places that sell cheesesteaks
I love Jersey Mikes, it has been one of my favorite places since college in the late 00s. I always get a giant 56 (big kahuna, basically a cheesesteak) but they have been getting pricey lately. They used to be like $12-13 and now they are ~$17. But still worth on occasion. I’ve been to both Pat and Geno’s in Philly…
I haven’t even played half of the series but from all I’ve researched Black Flag seems to be one of the most loved, along with Odyssey. I would pick one of those depending on whether you like pirates or ancient Egypt more
Pretty crazy bundle. All XCOMs together is worth, BL3 is alone is worth, PGA2k21, which is the best golf game is ten+ years, alone is worth, the Bioshock trilogy is worth, and Civ4 is probably worth. If I didn’t already own most of those I would buy instantly
“Yet auto-battling feels like a perfect fit for Pokémon since grinding is also a central aspect of its gameplay loop.”
As other have said the story and base game are free (and actually really good, even back when I played in 1.2). However I uninstalled after I got annoyed at the required grinding to unlock some of the story. For instance, I had cleared all content and some option stuff and hit lvl 22ish. The next story dungeon was…
My dad who is NOT a car guy has only ever told me a single car he loves, which is the Plymouth Superbird. For me, I have never heard of Lancia Stratos until now but I’m instantly in love. That Ferrari 308 looks good too
Jeep Rescue is up there high on my list. Twenty years ago there was a website called conceptcarz.com (I think it is still around but it looks a lot different now) but I remember seeing hundreds of cars on that website that I had never heard of, just one offs from brand that practically didn’t exist. So much cool stuff…
“one that deals poison damage, every time you land a critical hit—and you’re more or less a constant stream of elemental projectiles, dealing damage of up to three different elemental types at once.”
I can definitely see Piccolo as this, and as a matter of fact my best friend in middle school who is black, loved Piccolo more than any other character so he must have seen the same things as you.
“It absolutely ruled, the sort of genius feature that should’ve been implemented into every similar game. But there’s a reason such a feature hasn’t shown up elsewhere: Last year, following years of efforts, publisher WB Games successfully secured a patent for the Nemesis system.”
That is the dumbest thing I’ve ever…
“Most of your movement will be spent getting within range of the enemy, which depending on the amount of party members you’re rocking with, can take upwards of four to five turns before any of the action happens.”
That’s always a pain in SRPGs. Fire Emblem Radiance, FFT, Disgaea, MoeKuri...They all end up having…
This reminds me I never finished the Vita version. I was on some level where you get surrounded at the start and I lose my entire team by the time I kill one or two enemies. Retried many times and never got further so I gave up. I was relatively young then though so maybe I need to give it a go again
Like: open world, challenge gyms in any order, co-op, co-op raids, three different story modes?
Dislike: motorcyclemons, terastallize (I hate mega, primal, and all that jazz), same three types for starters as always
Neutral: graphics
Unknown: wild pokemon seem to be lifeless (the ghastlys in the trailer didn’t move),…
I can’t imagine playing any of these games, though I read through the Steam reviews on Didnapper 2 and it actually has really good reviews with people complimenting the JRPG systems and combat
Here’s the thing, the pandemic is over. Covid is here to stay but it is in a form that is highly transmissible but not deadly. Yes there are still tens of thousands getting infected, but it is by the Omicron variant which is very much not lethal. the newest version of Omicron, ba.5 is less deadly than the frickin flu…
Of this list I think I’ve only seen Kill la Kill, Prison School, and High School of the Dead. The former two are actually really great and tame enough that even my wife loved them both. The latter was kinda meh. I do have Bastard! and Food Wars on our to-watch list though. I’m only worried about Food Wars because I…
I’m losing hope in the JRPG scene. The combat in both Valkyrie Elysium and Star Ocean look terrible, and the faces of the Star Ocean characters look like a budget PS3 game. At this point I’m about to just dig my ps1 and ps2 out of the closet and start replaying the classics like Legend of Dragoon and Xenosaga
Elemental got me excited when I read sky pirates, but the rest of the premise sounds too much like Eureka Seven and, well half a dozen other anime and games I’ve consumed
