As far as hardware goes I'd say Android. I currently have an iPhone but I got the G1 right when it came out. The OS was alright but the hardware was so terrible. It was bulky (even for then) and the battery was a joke. But it was the the best, and one of the only, smart phones on T-Mobile at the time.
