Could not agree more. I wish my older self could go back in time and tell my 20's self to enjoy how I look because it is not going to get better. I look back at old photos and think " dang! I was hot!" but at the time I did not feel hot...I felt insecure and worried about my thighs and all number of things that

Yes! Something more like this:

Haha — DEAD. Makes it pretty Clare people don't like him.

Edited out: The part where she forces him, using the power of her dirty pillows, to eat an apple while a snake lurks smugly in the background.

i, for one, appreciate that you spoke up.

Well when you call someone a bottom I guess it's not inherently an insult, but it is inherently heteronormative. And when you follow that comment by saying that the "bottom" in question is being emasculated by his girlfriend...yeah pretty sure that makes it an insult.

"it turns out that he's a bottom."

Oh my god, WHO THE FUCK CARES?? Everybody masturbates! The fucking Queen of England masturbates!

Right? When my wife catches me, I just wiggle it around and say "Look who's excited to see you!"

I didn't even care what your comment said, you just used the word "rapscallion". Ten points for KissKissBoom and Gryffindor.

Well, you're right about that. But there is also a pretty huge distinction between "I didn't commit a crime" and "I don't feel like I committed a crime."

It reminds me of the old approach to domestic violence. The old old approach was that a man had every right to beat his wife. The old approach swapped that for "a man has no right to beat his wife, but we as a society have no right to intrude into relations between the two of them, even if the wife is asking us to."

The cognitive Dissonance is strong in this one.

What do we want to bet that the person who wrote that is currently applying to law schools?

I'm sure it's the smoking and not the Dorito tacos.

Is that where I got this sweet rack??? Wait no, I forgot. I paid for them. Memory loss...

Crimeny, I understand the point of this article. I took issue with one particularly poorly-worded sentence.

I didn't say it was impossible. Or even improbable.

Clearly, this is moronic. What Lily Allen has done in this video is moronic. But if I issue a sincere compliment and someone takes it as an insult because— I dunno, they're having a bad day— I'm not being moronic.

I was going to say the same thing. It is too far to say intent doesn't matter. It does matter, it just should be balanced against what the likely effect of words/ actions and whether you should know what the effect will be. I don't have a problem saying this video was racist even though Lily Allen didn't intend it
