So much this - an utterly bizarre choice for the list.  Even if it wasn’t actually specifically named in the original comic strip, I don’t know why someone would be surprised by it either.

Aliens passes too - not too surprisingly either.

I feel like there’s probably a lot of us.

The right has been using socialism as a boogeyman way longer than the 90s.

My main barrier is convenience - removing excuses not go to.
When I worked in the city I was a member of a cheap gym I could walk to in 5 minutes, so I’d go during my lunch break. Now I’m working from home that’s no longer an option. So I’ve joined a local gym that is 2 1/2 times the price because it’s a 5 minute drive

Territorial behaviour is normal. This is not normal territorial behaviour for orcas (otherwise it wouldn’t be a news story). Deciding that this is some kind of protest against the existence of boats (which have existed in the Mediterranean for literally millennia) “violating” their “living spaces” is *very much*

Nobody has died, the orcas aren’t attacking people they’re attacking boats.

Because the article is titled “Orcas Are Sinking the Rich”, and is expressing glee that Orcas are attacking wealthy people “Nature is speaking out against the 1%!”. Presumably because the author is unable to imagine that anyone other than a multi-millionaire might ever be on a yacht, and forgets that for people living

Exactly - it’s certainly the most human-like I’ve ever heard Trump be.  If it can come from literally anyone else it would almost be amusing/charming.

Sounds about par for the course...

I realise the “them” in this case in the Orcas - my bad.

But also irrelevant really - this isn’t some kind of “us or them” situation.  Do you also laugh when people out hiking are attacked by wild animals?

This is one of the boats that was attacked.
1) Do those people look like millionaires?
2) Do you see what is written on the boom? It’s a company that does sailing lessons and charters boats. The people on board don’t own this boat.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t consider that being able to spend £5-600 or so per

One that’s small enough to get sunk by an orca

These aren’t 1%ers

Nobody forced them to go to sea so they deserve to die.  Seems like a reasonable position.

These aren’t 1%er mega yachts being attacked - there is no way on earth a pod of Orcas could sink one of those - these are normal people who decided to spent their holiday sailing in the Mediterranean in small boats.

But sure, lets laugh at their lives being put into mortal danger because boats.

Why part of “how many” confused you?

I’m wondering how many of these “near collisions” involved their car.

I expect some of them were also in a traffic jam when they were already late.

“...But for all the irony...”

that rolls as comfortably as a bike with round ones.” - when cycling on a perfectly smooth and flat path.

This square-wheeled bicycle takes an entirely different and clever approach to the problem, and can be comfortably ridden almost anywhere”  - as long as it’s a perfectly smooth and flat path.
