It’s less than that. Putting up a lawn sign requires a modicum of effort (you have to get a sign, and you have to spend a few minutes outside putting it up), and your neighbours can see your sign.

There’s a definite feeling of “fuckit, that’ll do” about the examples. Like, the author got half an articles worth of actual reasonable examples then... just couldn’t be bothered with the rest.

It’s not even cultural laziness.   If you know *nothing* about India you know it has, *at least* 100 people living there.    The chances of two randomly selected people being related just because they share a name is probably quite low.
