I’d gladly give up a little MPG for higher tension piston rings that don’t carbon up and let oil slip by. If cars are burning a quart every 1000 miles, how “environmental” is that? Tricks to meet MPG standards really suck sometimes and don’t come for free (in more ways than one).

“Was the clerk overreacting? Maybe.” HELL NO!!! Don’t downplay that idiot smoking near gas.

Damn, we must be long lost twins. I had a black 91 Si I drove for 17 years. Loved that thing. Was a great car. But I now have a 330i ZHP that is absolutely the most perfect DD ever conceived. Essentially all stock, I track it several times a year and it looks fantastic in a sea of SUVs and minivans when picking

Nice victim blaming. ANY thief gets what they deserve and this guy certainly deserved it. I don’t care how “petty” it is. He made a conscious decision to violate someone else. How soft our society has gotten when this is tolerated as something minor. Bullshit! Nothing would have happened if he hadn’t broken into

I second this question.

Unloved??? Like hell! I’ve loved it since the day it came out. I couldn’t care less that it hasn’t won a bucket load of trophies or wasn’t even raced for that matter. It’s one helluva machine that if I had the means I would most definitely make it the center piece of my collection.

Thanks for the article, I’m getting nostalgic! I drove a 91 Si just like this (black/black) for 17 years. Kept it in really good condition like this one. Sold it to a college kid back in 2010 on Craigslist. Good kid, has a real interest in older cars. Didn’t molest it. I had to look real close at the pictures because

I mean if driving your automatic car and everytime it shifts you say to yourself “hell yeah that shift was a couple hundredths of a second faster than a manual!”

Huh, I didn’t know guns were capable of making bad moral decisions and that they were responsible for the decline of our society. You know, since guns have been around since the start of our country and all it’s fascinating that just recently they’ve started taking us down. They’ve never fought evil for us, have they?

You know what I noticed? Nobody panics when things go according to plan. Even when the plan is horrifying. If tomorrow I told the press that, like, 6 teenagers will die every day for a year from car accidents (like in 2013 – CDC stats), nobody panics. Because it’s all part of the plan. But when I say one whack job

Good read. Thanks for sharing!

How many laps did Marquez sit on Lorenzo’s back tire and he never went for a pass? With nothing to lose and a race win in sight? Yeah right. Because THAT’S the guy we’ve been watching the past few years. And he suddenly got feisty when Pedrosa came by. I was skeptical of Rossi’s claims, but after all that’s gone down

Wow. Haven’t seen this many apologists who don’t have the courage to hold bad decision makers accountable in one place for quite some time.

Exactly! Just how many turbo cars are hitting their EPA mileage claims in the real world? If you drive like granny, sure, you’ll get good mileage. But if you put your foot into it, like the majority of the driving population, forget about it. You put your foot in it, the turbo spools up, more air in requires more

What do I think? BMW+FWD=Boo

While the points you listed are sound, you left out a very critical piece of information which makes this is an awful choice for a teenagers - it's a high center of gravity vehicle with no stability control.

I just love your description. That's great!

In person these things sound like Thor's chariot!

It was always a treat sitting in the stands on the front straight there at Indy for the first F1 practice session. You could always tell the folks who had never been to an F1 event live. When the first car came shrieking around the turn and onto the straight, you'd see the uninitiated grabbing their ears!
