Jang Keun Seok, that is all:

Watch Queen In-Hyun's Man! DO IT!

Another great drama is I Hear Your Voice, especially if you like "noona romances" (older woman and younger guy).

Queen In-Hyun's Man is my reigning #1, although Coffee Prince is only demoted because I really get bored with the second lead story and tend to fast-forward their bits. That and the pacing gets weird at the end, though when it's good, it's GOOD. Queen In-Hyun I will watch again and again, even the manager scenes.

I'm watching In Time With You right now! Like, literally, it's on pause in another browser tab as I type this. I like it, but it feels a little too drawn out to me, and it's been taking me ages to get through the series. Totally agree with you about the theme song though, and I really like the way variations of it

Dal Ja's Spring is one of my all-time favs!! My Girl and Pasta are up there too . The Princess' Man and Sungkyunkwan Scandal are my favorite historical dramas. Dream High and Shut Up Flower Boy Band are super cute and fun watches too. Nice Guy is one of my favorite melodramas. And then Cruel City , Golden Empire and

Master's Sun!!! The eerie premise and quick dialogue drew me in; So Ji Sub kept me coming back.

Have you watched the Japanese version? Hana Yori Dango? It's the best version I've seen (and I've seen Japanese, Korean & Taiwanese). Japanese was the funniest and most "credible" adaptation I've seen, and from those who read the manga, they say it's the one that's the closest.

Is it because South Korea has Lee Min-Ho?

I also watched the Japanese version loooong before the Korean one and objectively speaking, it was the better drama but the Korean one just made me FEEL more. Granted, most of it during the second half was raaaage but kdramas just was a way of taking emotion, any kind of emotion, and turning it up to 11.

Yes, let's share recs! Yes, yes, yes! I have a special place in my heart for Queen In-Hyun's Man, just because it was my first. Coffee Prince, also — it's just a classic.

A very necessary warning. Last year entire weekends of my life disappeared into gaps in the space time continuum caused by Coffee Prince, Queen In-Hyun's Man, and My Name is Kim Sam Soon.

Slightly off-topic, but what really pisses me off is when people act as though Africa is a country rather than a continent and that all African people have the same culture. If I claimed that Russia and France had the same culture, people would clutch their pearls and flame me. Yet, the very same people wouldn't bat

Whilst this was certainly stupid.

Immigrant problems for reals. I came to America in the 90s and was a history major. Usually the only black girl in my classes and i was like please prof don't call on me cause I don't know anything about what it's like to be black in America until the 90s.

Wow. What a plight to carry. It must be so miserable to be able to pass for White and have privilege or even power.

You're not going to like my response but skin hue/color is a big deal to Latinos (I'm Mexican-American, too). I can see why darker-skinned Latinos (of which I am one) take issue with White or White-appearing Latinos in certain instances. You guys are seriously overrepresented everywhere I go, here in the US and in

I do research as well, and I've worked for years in the patient-care arena. I've dealt with all of this. I felt bad for lots of my patients, but especially the ones who identified as Afro-Caribbean, or African, whose only option is "African-American."
