Just move period. Don’t subject the entire state of Montana with New Yorkers, they’d never recover from that.

First unibody construction? Uhhmm,
Bulleseye! While CNC machining can go directly “art to part” is relies on a machining center cutting away everything that isn’t the final part. It still relies on conventional design. 3D printing is even better for low volume products. No special tooling, no long development times and designs that really can’t be made…
I LOVE what you did there. The NACA duct is PERfect for the hotted up 6-er. I’d like to do similar for myself someday.
It has always been that way.
But does that justify the $770,000 auction price? Absolutely not.
No need to change the Chase again. Dale Jr. retired....
Mark Martin was arguably the best driver never to win the Cup. But the driver who finished 2nd get lots of TV coverage for his sponsors. Heck, Dale Earnhardt won championships by consistently finishing 2nd along with a few wins. Image Rusty Wallace seeing Dale on his back bumper knowing that even if he wins the race,…
Truth hurts.....
.......When Danica Patrick announced her retirement last year....
I had a Torsen in my Honda S2000. Absolutely terrific. It spoiled me for anything else... as it may have you, too!
I used to work for a brake manufacturer in the auto industry. From casting to finished product takes less than 2 minutes a caliper for a single piston slider on one machining center. A 4 or 6 piston fixed caliper can be machined in about the same time but requires the 2 halves to make a single caliper from a raw…
Until it isn’t. Clutch-pack style LSD’s suck on slippery surfaces with powerful RWD cars or trucks. Locker types, too.
My only car for 2 winters. A 1984 Corvette with a 4+3 manual gearbox, positraction rear axle and wide 255 summer tires. And not enough ground clearance to clear 3 inches of snow - it was lowered slightly! On any snow what-so-ever the tires would just spin when the clutch was released - no matter how easily. Heck,…
Sure but the cycle time is still enormous by automotive standards. Not Bugatti automotive standards, for sure but certainly Ford F150 standards.
Given the need for mold-slides and parting lines, I’d say sintered metal would not work at all or require quite a few compromises not needed with 3-D printer calipers. Just my engineering opinion.
Great use of the technology for a very low volume car. Exotic materials designed in such a way that conventional manufacturing could not make. But 45 HOURS per caliper?? Perfect for low volume. No so much for high volume vehicles.
Arianna Huffington is the Biggest Scammer Alive
Well considering California has $130 Billion in debt and about $650 Billion in unfunded pension liabilities, what’s another $10 Million wasted on the appearance of “green”??
You are getting wrapped up in the details not appearing in the article. Kobe is a raw steel supplier, not a steel component supplier.
