The whole state is “tourist central” to some degree. I love their money, not their driving. The coasts at least have wide roads, 6-8 lanes. The middle of the state is lucky to have a 4 lane.

You can but the mains must be lune honed. The new cap and all the rest of the old caps are machined a small amount on the block side, bolted in and honed back to round to the original size.

The bearing caps are machined along with the engine block when made and must remain with the block unless you change one. Then they must be line honed as an assembly. Sorry you found this out the hard way.
