The game has severe flaws but people are still playing it. I'd assume that's because the game was massively hyped and other people are playing it. Just because we still play the game doesn't mean that it matched our expectations or were enjoying it as much as we had hoped.

The percents are what make smash special. If you hit someone their percent goes up. The higher their percent the easier it is to die. In sudeen death mode yoir percent is at 300 so you can die very easily.
